Welcome to SUMMER TERM in Dosbarth Derwen!
This term our context for learning is 'The Big Dip'
In Maths we will develop our data handling skills to record information we gather from tests and observations.
In English we will describe habitats, make posters on how to look after them and and use a range of structures to develop a story.
In science we will explore food chains, life cycles and environments for growing things.
Please look at our curriculum news below to see all of the other exciting things we will be getting up to throughout the term!
As well as all this we will be hosting our class assembly on
FRIDAY 14TH JUNE
in the main school hall. We hope to see you there
Our context for learning during the Spring term is Castles and Dragons 🐉
We completed KWL grids at the beginning of term and these are some of the ideas that we come up with:
- What materials are used to build castles?
- Which castle is the biggest?
- Why were castles built?
- Who lives in a castle?
- Are there fish in the moat?
We are inquisitive learners... 🤔
Our class assembly will be on
Friday 30th November
We hope to see you there!!!
This term, our context for learning is 'All About Me’
Please take a look at our Curriculum News below to see what we will be learning about through our context.
We are an energetic class of 25 pupils made up with a mix of Year 2 and Year 3 children. Our teacher is Miss Griffiths and Miss King is our teaching assistant. We will also have Mrs Driscoll to help us on a Thursday.
We are really excited for all the learning opportunities we will receive this year and believe that learning should be fun. We are also looking forward to outdoor sessions and using the new build facilities.
