We are a class of 25 lively Year 5 and 6 pupils. Our teacher is Miss Wilsher and we are lucky to have Mrs Wall, Mrs Faulkner and Miss Courtney working with us too.
Our context for learning this term is 'Keen to be Green' where we will be learning all about the environment and how to protect it. We will be exploring the effects of climate change and the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling. We will develop our numeracy skills and ICT skills by collecting, analysing and representing data linked with climate change. In Science we will be investigating plants. We will be planting some seeds :)
In Literacy, we will be developing our persuasive writing skills and we will also be developing our creative writing skills. We will be responding to moving images and media.
We will be developing our reasoning and number skills, we will apply them throughout our context for learning. We will continue to focus on learning our times tables up to 10 x 10.
We love using the ipads and we will be using a range of apps to enhance our learning and coding skills.
Hopefully we will be spending as much time as possible outdoors. We are hoping to go on a couple of school trips. As a class, we have made a list of some possible outdoor adventures we could plan.
Please bring your PE kit in every Monday and leave it in school for the week. PE days may change. This term we will be making the most of the glorious weather by playing team sports outside.
Last but not least... THE LEAVERS' SHOW!! It is going to be a show stopper! Keep your eyes peeled and your ears open for more information. We are going to give the West End a run for their money.
