We are a friendly class of 23 Year 5 and 6 pupils. Our class teacher is Miss Wilsher and we are really lucky to have Mrs Dean, Miss Courtney, Mrs Faulkner and Mrs Wall working with us throughout the week.
This half term is... Project Time! We are going to be learning lots through many different mini projects.
In Literacy we will be concentrating on our writing skills. Through our projects we will be writing lots of plans and evaluations as well as presentations, speeches and scripts. We will also be studying media texts.
In Maths, we are going to carry on developing our number, shape, measure and data handling skills. We will be investigating data through our project work and developing our skills in presenting our findings.
Our SEAL topics are 'Relationships' and 'Changes'. In RE, we will be exploring the main religions from different countries and cultures.
Homework will be given out on a Friday and it will need to be returned on a Monday, unless the teacher states otherwise. Homework will consist of 'Learn its' which children can use at home to practise their multiplication tables. There will also be spelling homework with spellings to learn ready for Monday. There will be times when we give a project for pupils to complete as homework, projects have to be in by Wednesday. We encourage pupils to read as much as they can at home, (magazines, books, newspapers) books will also go home on a Friday evening.
We will have PE on Thursday and Friday afternoons, please make sure your PE kit is in school.
Snack costs £1.50 for the week and money is collected on a Monday morning.
