Croeso i Ddosbarth Llwyfen!
We are a class of 26 lively Year 5 and 6 pupils. Our teacher is Miss Waind and we are lucky enough to have Mrs Wall working with us too.
Our context for learning this term is 'Keen to be Green' where we will be learning all about the environment and how to protect it. We will be exploring the effects of climate change and the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling. We will develop our numeracy and ICT skills by collecting, analysing and representing data linked with climate change and we will be investigating plants in science.
In Literacy, we will be developing our persuasive writing skills and our skills in creative writing through responding to media and moving images.
We will be developing our reasoning and number skills and applying them throughout our topic. We will continue to focus on knowing our times tables up to 10 x 10.
Hopefully we will be spending as much time as possible outdoors - in our local area as well further away on trips.
We will be using the iPads and a range of apps to enhance our learning and coding skills.
Also this term there is the small matter of the Year 6 Leavers' Show - keep an eye out for more information...it's going to be a good one!
Please bring your PE kit every Monday and leave it in school as our PE day may change.
