Good Hygiene

Good hygiene is important and we ensure that all staff and learners regularly wash their hands. Hands are washed with soap and running water for at least 20 seconds. Staff remind children of effective hand washing techniques.

Regular hand washing will be undertaken including:

  • on arrival and when leaving the school
  • before and after handling food
  • before and after handling objects and equipment that may have been used by others
  • where there has been any physical contact
  • after people blow their nose, sneeze or cough. Boxes of tissues will be widely available and secure disposal of contaminated tissues will be facilitated.

Hand sanitiser stations are placed around the school. These are used regulrlry by children and staff in addition to hand washing.

 Thank you.

Extreme Hot Weather Risks Assessment - July 2022

In extreme HOT weather our uniform policy is relaxed:

  • Children should wear light coloured, lightweight clothing that is airy and will protect their skin from the sun.
  • Children should wear a hat, cover up and wear a high factor sun cream.
  • Children should not wear vest tops or sleeveless tops as shoulders burn easily.
  • Children should not wear flip flops or sliders or open back shoes/sandals.

Children should bring a refillable bottle to school as they will need extra drinks throughout the school day.

Thank you for your support.
