Celyn (Holly)

Welcome to Dosbarth Celyn

We are a class of 30 busy and enthusiastic Year 2 pupils. Miss Jones is our class teacher and Mrs Evans, Mrs Khan and Mrs Hunter also work in our class . Your child will also meet Mrs Royal every fortnight.

Reading books will be taken home on Tuesdays and should be returned to school by Friday so that we can swap them for the next week. It is really important that your child reads regularly and as well as the home reading texts there is Bug Club too which is updated constantly with new books at your child's reading level.

We will learn in both outside and inside classroom areas and this term our context tasks will continue to involve developing and exploring our school garden area. Our context this term is : The Scented Garden.  Please make sure that your child wears appropriate outdoor coats and clothing and footwear for all weathers. On rainy days wellies can be brought into school in a labelled bag for your child to wear during outdoor learning.

PE

Our PE day will be on Tuesday. Please make sure that your child wears their PE kit to school on this day. Please also make sure that your child wears weather appropriate clothing as learning will still take place in both the indoor and outdoor areas.

After School Clubs - Exciting News !

One of the after school clubs on offer for Year 2 this term will continue to be a girl's football club. It takes place on a Tuesday after school until 4 o'clock. School staff have undertaken training to deliver a programme developed by UEFA staff and we are very excited to be providing this opportunity for girls in yeras 2, 3 and 4.  For more information please contact Miss Jones.             Please continue to check on our school web page and school texts and emails for any changes to after school provision that may arise.
