SUMMER TERM 2022
Are you NEWSWISE?
We've started a project with The Guardian newspaper called Newswise. We are on the lookout for fake news and what makes the news newsworthy. So far we've found out about the roles different people have in journalism such as the picture editors, the sub editors and the reporters. We've held our first news desk briefing and we are looking forward to our first news workshop next Monday.
Spring term 2022
It's been a very busy start to the term. As well as our circuit training, we've been improving our rugby skills.
Boulders trip.
written by Dosbarth Collen( team Spiderman)
We have had an awesome time at Boulders. We all behaved perfectly. Some of us faced our fears and we are proud because some of us made it to the top .It felt like we were climbing a mountain, especially on the difficult wall. It was easy going up but hard going down but we still managed it. We had to listen really carefully otherwise we wouldn't know what to do . We had to collaborate on the ropes ( belay) to help others get to the top and also trust each other when we were leaning back to come down the wall. We found out about different climbing techniques such as bouldering, rope climbing and ladder work. Most importantly, we had lots of fun.
CC Brampton visit.
Today we had a visit from the author of Charlie Robonik . C.C. Brampton lives in Cardiff and we enjoyed hearing about how he plans and writes his stories.
Dydd Gwyl Dewi
Llongyfarchiadau to the winners of our art and poetry competitions .

Investigating organs.
So, what better way to start our science topic than to actually have a look at a real heart, liver and kidneys! We didn't realise that a liver weighed so much or that a heart was actually a muscle.
