Our Bigfoot drama workshop for Black History Month

Black History Month
This Morning we did Drama with the company Bigfoot Arts.

We learnt about lots of Black figures such as, Mary Prince, Paul Stephenson, and Lilian Badar.

We also did freezeframes where we had to recreate a scene from Black History Month.

Everyone extremely enjoyed it.

Investigating organs

Investigating organs.

So, what better way to start our science topic than to actually have a look at a real heart, liver and kidneys! We didn't realise that a liver weighed so much or that a heart was actually a muscle.

Our Victorian day.

From getting caned, trilling and bowing  to our teachers. Reading from our primers and learning the 4Rs. Doing some tables drill and writing on slates and with ink pens. Today we have really discovered what it was like to be a Victorian school child. Would you have liked to go to school in Victorian times ?
